Pastor Steve Chappell and his wife, Lisa, founded Coastline Baptist Church in 1998 with a heart to reach people with the Gospel and help them grow in their walk with God. At Coastline, our mission is to inspire people to seek God, welcome them into a loving church family, and make a meaningful impact in the world for Christ (Matthew 28:19–20). We are passionate about sharing the hope of Jesus and walking alongside you on your spiritual journey. Through worship services, Bible studies, and small group communities, we desire to help believers grow deeper in their relationship with Him.
No matter your background, story, or season of life, there is a place for you at Coastline Baptist Church. We believe every person matters to God, and can live out their faith with confidence, hope, and joy.

Inspire people to develop a heart for God. Include them in a loving church family where they can grow and be discipled. Impact our world locally and globally for Christ.

We believe the Word of God alone has the power to transform lives, marriages & homes. We place a premium on Biblical preaching and teaching from weekend services to weekly small groups.

We strive to glorify God through meaningful worship on the weekends that is rooted in scripture connecting our personal worship during the week.

We prioritize the practice of discipling others in the faith, helping them to grow in their understanding of the Bible and their relationship with God.

We seek to spread the good news of Jesus Christ to all people. We firmly believe that God has given us all an “oikos”. That group of 10-15 people with whom we can share His love. This is seen on our local outreach efforts as well as through our world missions financial support.

We are called to serve our church family and those in need, through both physical and spiritual acts of love, kindness & generosity.

We seek to foster unity in diversity, standing together as a church family united in our purpose of sharing God’s love.
God is a Person, eternally existing, as a Trinity in unity – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit – three Persons and yet one God. Deuteronomy 6:4, Matthew 28:19, I Corinthians 8:6
Jesus Christ, eternally existing, is the only begotten Son of God, who became a sinless man to redeem us. He was born of a virgin and is true God and true man. Luke 1:30-55, John 1:1-15, Philippians 2:5-8
The Spirit is promised to every believer in full measure. His purpose as a part of the Godhead is to comfort, guide and convict the believer to be in alignment with Christ. Acts 2:38–39, Ephesians 1:13–14, John 14:26, Romans 8:14
We believe that the Holy Bible as originally written was verbally inspired and the product of Spirit-controlled men, and therefore has truth without any admixture of error for its matter. We believe the Bible to be the true center of Christian union and the Supreme standard by which all human conduct, creeds, and opinions shall be tried. II Timothy 3:16-17; II Peter 1:19-21
Man was created in the image of God but fell through sin, bringing not only physical death, but also spiritual death or eternal separation from God. Now all of mankind exists as a fallen race with an inherited sinful nature. Genesis 2:16, Genesis 3:16-19, Romans 3:10-23, Romans 6:23
The Lord Jesus Christ suffered and died as a substitutionary payment for the sins of the whole world. He physically arose from the dead and then ascended into Heaven. Simple faith in this sacrifice is the only way of salvation for mankind. Luke 24, Acts 1:9-11, Romans 5:8-10, I Peter 3:18
The local church is a group of believers baptized by water, banded together for edification, exhortation, and evangelism as commanded by Christ in the Great Commission; preaching the Gospel to every creature. Mark 16:15, I Corinthians 12:12, Ephesians 1:22-23
Jesus Christ Himself will soon come again in the air to catch up His Church to reward their service. The unbelievers left behind will go through a period called the Tribulation, after which Christ will return to the Earth to set up His Kingdom of one thousand years of righteous rule. After this, the unbelievers of all ages will stand at the Great White Throne to be judged and cast into the Lake of Fire, separated from God forever, while the believers spend eternity in the fullness of joy in Heaven with the Lord. Matthew 24:29-42, I Thessalonians 4:16-18, Revelation 19:11-20:13
